Top Target Areas For Botox

By Anka Sanori

There are many cosmetic reasons for which Botox injections are widely used. In the last few years there has been a significant increase in its use with more and more people seeking to change the way they look and shave off years with this simple and quick treatment. Its popularity is primarily due to the speed of the procedure, the simplicity of the whole process, the quality results and how affordable it generally is.

Fine lines and wrinkles on the face are a common treatment area for botox; it relaxes the muscles and skin when it is applied. There are three main sites that are most commonly injected:

- Forehead wrinkles

- Crow's feet lines around the eyes

- Vertical '11' lines between eyebrows

Forehead wrinkles

These 'frown lines' are one of the most common sites for botox injection. The skin and muscles on the forehead are constantly being used and as a result are always under stress - this is why frown lines and wrinkles form here so often. As one of the first signs of aging, it is targeted first. Most troublesome for patients, amongst all facial creases, seem to be the forehead lines. Treatment is simple, quick and effective and requires no anaesthesia. Effects can last up to 6 months and repeat injections are usually required to preserve the crease-free look.

Crow's feet lines around the eyes

Crow's feet refer to fine lines that form at the corners of the eyes due to constant muscle use. As a sign of aging, it is unfortunate yet unavoidable. Botox injections can effectively reduce these lines without giving the skin a stretched appearance, restoring the look that younger, healthier skin appears like. Crow's feet are very common, so they are the next popular treatment after frown lines. Just like other botox treatments, the results can take effect for up to 6 months, and additional treatments may be required after that.

Vertical '11' lines

These refer to the two lines between the eyebrows that form when frowning. The depth of these lines can be reduced with Botox injections, and effectively smoothed out. The procedure takes around 10 to 15 minutes to perform and the results are excellent.

Botox is most often injected on the face into these top 3 sites. Botox injections around the mouth may be performed, and there are other sites like chin lifts, although these are much less common.

Conclusion

When it comes to achieving great cosmetic results that will result in younger looking skin devoid of fine lines and wrinkles, Botox still remains one of the most preferred treatments.

How To Turn Wrinkles into Natural Beauty

By

Ever since I was a young child I've loved being in the sun. I loved the outdoors so much that often I would go out skiing, windsurfing and hangliding. Over the years, these activities took their toll on my skin. My face, neck and hands especially became extremely dehydrated from the sun and the wind and looked aged and wrinkled.

I wish now that I had taken care of my skin the way I should have, but instead I bought the latest, most popular store brands at the drugstore that never gave me the protection and beauty that they claimed. I had distinct crow's-feet, like ravines going all the way out to the sides of my face and other creases and lines around my nose and my lips which these companies had promised to erase.

Around about that time, I asked a good friend of mine with absolutely gorgeous skin for advice. She recommended giving me a facial massage using a botanically based natural skin care cream. After the facial my skin glowed and felt totally rejuvenated. I was amazed at the difference in my skin's appearance.

I started using natural moisturizing and conditioning products faithfully and for the first time I was amazed at the difference in my skin. I started a regular skin care routine using only natural beauty products.

Now, after I garden or go camping or to any areas that are extra dirty, I use a deep pore cleanser and a natural fruit based exfoliant to remove dead skin and detoxify any oily pores. Then I moisturize with a natural plant collagen anti-aging cream.

Today people are suffering with all kinds of skin problems, from unexplainable skin rashes to adult acne, skin cancer and exzema. People don't want to buy products containing perfumes, animal by-products and chemical ingredients.

Certain cosmetic preservatives, fragrances, mineral oil and lanolin can cause itchy rashes, skin damage and asthma-like conditions. People of all skin types need to cleanse, use sun-protection and moisturize their skin regularly. Even people with healthy skin need to be aware of the importance of a regular skin care regimen using natural, normalizing products.

The trend today is towards natural skin care. People know that adding chemicals to their skin is drying it out, throwing off its PH balance and causing secondary infections and unusual rashes to occur.

With my natural skin care routine my crow's feet, laugh and lip lines are completely gone. Even though I'm still as active as ever, I feel like a natural beauty. The natural conditioning oils have healed my skin from inside and keep my skin as soft as a baby's bottom. My confidence is back around others - I'm still amazed!
